The CS-60T is a high-quality transformer designed to transform (and boost) the signal from an MC cartridge in order to send it to an MM phono stage. The signal from an MC cartridge is very weak (often between 0.1 and 0.5 mV); this level being insufficient for MM phono stages, it must be amplified, which is precisely the function of the CS-60T .

As you can imagine, transforming and boosting the low-level signal from a moving coil (MC) cartridge is a very delicate operation; therefore, it is essential to use very high-quality devices, such as the CS-60T , to preserve the musical quality and dynamics of the performance.

The CS-60T is equipped with custom-designed Permalloy core transformers manufactured in Japan with maximum wire cross-section relative to core size.

In order to avoid any degradation of sound quality due to contact points, a direct connection structure without a switch was adopted.

The chassis, with high-performance shielding, is made of two different materials. The transformers for the left and right channels are integrated into a one-kilogram aluminum block, itself covered by a 2 mm thick steel chassis and a 10 mm thick aluminum base.

The natural walnut side panels help to neutralize the metallic resonance of the chassis.

The CS-60T offers a gain of 25 dB and was designed to be used with cartridges having an internal impedance between 1 and 14 ohms.
