Symmetrische kabel met 2 getwiste ≥99,99999% UP-OCC monokristal koper geleiders. De geleiders zijn voorzien van een rode en blauwe PE (polyetheen) isolatie. De geleiders met een buitendiameter van Ø 2,42 mm en een binnendiameter van Ø 0,85 mm zijn samengesteld uit 1 centrale ader van 0,203 mm² (AWG24) en 9 omringende getwiste aders van 0,032 mm² (AWG32). Een complete geleider is derhalve 0,514 mm² (AWG20). De geleiders worden dubbel en volledig (100%) afgeschermd door een gevlochten UP-OFC koper mantel in een met aluminium opgedampte Mylar folie. Het geheel wordt gewikkeld in papier om verkleving met de soft PVC binnenmantel en de vuilafstotende PVC buitenmantel te voorkomen. De toepassing van een soft PVC binnenmantel is om microfonie te voorkomen. De totale diameter inclusief buitenmantel is Ø 8,5 mm.

ETI Research Link - RCA Connector

De ETI Link is de geëvolueerde Bullet Plug. Het grote contactoppervlak en de geringe fysieke belasting maakt het mogelijk een holle middenpen toe te passen van ultra-zuiver koper (IACS 102). De geringe afmetingen van de retourpen in combinatie met de klemmende en verende functie vraagt om een ander soort koper. Tellurium koper (IACS 95) is door toevoeging van 0,5% Tellurium een buigzaam koper met uitstekende verende eigenschappen en hierdoor uitermate geschikt als retourpen. Het connectorhuis is tevens dielectric (isolatiemateriaal) en gemaakt van Delrin®, een hittebestendig materiaal dat solderen met hoge temperaturen mogelijk maakt. Voordelige connectors zijn veelal voorzien van eenvoudige plastic isolatie dat tijdens het soldeerproces smelt of deformeert. Om instraling van buitenaf (EMI/RFI) te voorkomen wordt de connector geleverd in een schroefbare aluminium behuizing. De behuizing is voorzien van een kanaalindicatie (wit en zwart) en dient door middel van twee schroeven ook als trekontlasting.

Since the return pin features a very low-mass design, to make it from ordinary Hardened Copper would not give the strength or durability required for soldering and everyday use. Therefore, the Link RCA Connector is made from Tellurium Copper, which maintains the connection strength needed to last for years and years without breakage or degradation of audio quality.

The housing of the unit is now made from aluminium. When we first started making the original Bullet we did not have to worry about all the electromagnetic radiation that is now floating around our audio systems. But today, with all the processors and switching power supplies commonly used throughout the industry, our audio systems are in a bath of noise.

This shift in industry adoption of contributors to EMI necessitated the change to Aluminium because it has very good EMI/RF noise rejection so as to keep your signal as clean as it possibly can be.

The LINK RCA Connector now has twin strain relief screws to keep your cable and the connection away from all the plugging and pulling stress many of these connectors are exposed to.
